Mini Vacation

This past weekend, my dad took us all up to Pagosa Springs for a much needed mini vacation. This is the first time Grayson has gone on a road trip, and he did so well!! We hit the snow storm on Friday, which meant that it took us about 9 hours to get there as appose to 5, so needless to say we were all tired of the riding in the car. The next two days everyone went up to the mountains to snow board/ski while I stayed with Grayson, and he got to play in the snow with his shovel. We ended up going to the mountain the second day, so he could play up there as well. He kept saying "mommy, my eyes are burning" lol so we went and got him some sunglasses, he picked them out by himself (see picture below) he loves them!

We got to relax and enjoy not doing anything the rest of the trip, and we loved it! My dad treated us all to massages on Monday.  Which was Amazing! Now its back to the real world, and getting ready for Little baby Lincoln to join us 8.5 more weeks to go :)

OUR HOUSE!

So we just bought our first house this past month in Castle Rock.  And let me tell you, we LOVE IT!! From the second that we both saw it, we knew it was the one. Its a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house about 2700 sq ft. It needs some updating, but nothing to big that Cody cant handle or do himself.

WELCOME!!

Ok, so this is my first run at a blog, but it seems to be the thing to do these days to keep everyone up on our lives (as appose to writing multiple emails!) So here is a little bit of what is going on in our lives at the moment.


I am 29 weeks pregnant with our second baby boy! (expected arrival is May 26th). This pregnancy is going much better than Grayson’s and so far i have no complications!! We are naming him Lincoln Michael. I am still working in Denver for StratStaff and I am lucky enough to be able to work from home once the baby is born. (I am sure this is going to be a challenge in the beginning, but worth every second of it)

Cody is finishing up his last year in college, and i could not be prouder! He will be graduating in December. He is working 2 jobs right now, one at the Airport and the other at Home Depot. When he is not working or going to school, he spends most of his time fixing up the house we just bought!

Grayson will be 3 in May, and amazes me every day! He is so smart! Loves to read and play with his cars. and is now in a big boy bed! (Twin size!) Thanks to Grandmama Gutteron! Grayson’s new thing is that he has to ask to be excused when we are at the dinner table (which is totally cute when he asks!) and Cody is teaching him to say grace before dinner!!
